The Duct Cleaning Procedure
IMC technicians use the latest equipment and technology to perform the most effective cleaning of your air duct system and components. A HEPA filtration vacuum is used in conjunction with compressed air, brushes, and specially designed "agitation" tools. |
We bring our HEPA filtered vacuum into your home and place it next to your HVAC system. We attach the vacuum to the plenum chamber of your supply duct system. We then cover all registers with plastic and tape to maximize vacuum pressure. |
The technicians then proceed to each register, one at a time, and use compressed air tools to agitate the dirt and dust, pushing all the debris to the main trunk ductwork. The technicians will then cut a series of access holes to use the specially designed brushes and other "agitation" tools to force the dirt and debris into the HEPA vacuum. |
The technicians will clean your return ductwork separately, in the same way. Any access holes are then completely sealed with gasketed sheet metal and zip screws. |
The filter chamber, blower compartment, plenum chamber and coil chamber of your air handling unit will also be vacuumed clean. IMC technicians are experienced in cleaning all types of air conveyance systems and in providing emergency service when systems are contaminated with soot, smoke, and microbial growth. |
